I’m Abbie Richardson, founder of Weddings by AJR. My background in brand marketing and live events brings two essential disciplines to wedding planning: developing a clear creative vision and managing the detail required to deliver it.

Before founding Weddings by AJR, I worked across product launches, campaigns and events for both trade and consumer audiences. Bringing these projects to life meant understanding a brief, coordinating contributors, managing competing priorities and ensuring that every element supported the overall experience. These are skills I now bring to weddings, where personal significance makes thoughtful delivery all the more important.

Marketing taught me to begin with a story: to understand what makes it distinctive and express it through considered creative choices. For your wedding, that means helping you define your vision and translate it into a cohesive celebration—from the setting and stationery to the flowers, lighting and atmosphere.

Live events taught me to look beyond the visual. Supplier communication, schedules, logistics and the ability to respond when plans change all shape the experience.

I bring both perspectives to the table: an eye for how your wedding could look and the practical thinking behind how it will work. I help you assess options, identify priorities and make decisions with confidence, keeping the creative ambition grounded in your budget and the realities of the day.

You’ll work directly with me, with clear communication and hands-on support throughout our work together. My role is to hold the detail, keep the plans moving and give you the space to enjoy the experience.
